I have always observed it when I was little that over the radio, there are tax incentives, tax amnesty and all excuses for the wealthy while for the poorer ones, they are taken for granted and oppressed to the maximum extent possible. Workers in the Philippines, the ordinary ones, or even the higher ones under a big organization of multinationals/successful businesses are never valued and never respected. I don’t know why this is the reality in a country where almost everyone is educated and almost everyone is wise!
I feel sad for my family back there, struggle to buy at least the most basic, rice and complaining about the life there. I feel sad about my country because it is continuing to shrink down and seems to be losing hope. I feel sad and ashamed of myself because I can never think of something I really contributed to make my country better. I feel sad …. I feel sad…
