Nutritionists are often moved to refer to seeds as almost perfect foodstuffs. To extract nutrients, they should be chewed thoroughly. Supermarkets have latched onto the trend and several now offer packets in snack sizes. Pumpkin seeds: rich in amino acids and high in zinc (which plays a crucial role in cell division) and omega 3 essential fatty acids. Also high in protein and iron (vital for the manufacture of red blood cells; teenage girls are often deficient in iron and suffer fatigue through anaemia) while low in carbohydrates.

Sunflower seeds: contain healthy unsaturated fats in the form of omega 3 and omega 6 essential fatty acids and protein, plus important nutrients like vitamin E (an antioxidant), selenium (which works with vitamin E as an antioxidant) and brain-boosting minerals and folic acid, which helps in the function of the brain's neurotransmitters.

. Hemp seeds: these contain an ideal ratio of essential fatty acids omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 (oleic acid), all vital for healthy circulation and cell growth. Anecdotal reports suggest that eating hemp seeds can improve memory and relieve depression, and boost the attention span of hyperactive children.
. Sesame seeds: high in protein, iron, zinc, magnesium and calcium, omega-3 and omega-6 EFAs; low in carbohydrates and cholesterol free.

I really believe that adding seeds to your diet is very good for you and believe it feeds your brain. I add pumpkin and sunflower seeds to my breakfast cereal each morning. I also add some fruit and milk haha like ordinary people.
