A Tranquil City

. Saturday, August 2, 2008

I live in the place where you see the images posted below. It is called Den Haag or The Hague in English. It is not a very complicated city in the Zuid Holland (South Netherlands) area and it is full of various people, various cultures, various race and a lot of diverse things.

Here, anyone can feel at home. All the human forms and colors are here and I am glad how everyone treats his or her fellow human beings here. It is a quiet surroundings, i great order and full of parks around where I always wander by.

The cost of commodities are relatively cheaper than those when I was still in Italy and I am wishing to all saints that I could settle in this place for long. Although the weather is really cold compared to the places I have went before, I can say that I can live with it. The place is equipped with bicycle paths and I would love to have my bike and roam around with it when it would be finally decided that I would stay in this area for good.

The government officials and inhabitants are reall helpful and respectful. Governemnt workers are really honest and do their best to serve the public. The best I have met so far...maybe in equal terms or even better than the one I thought was best before... the government service of Malaysia..

I've always wanted to live in a quiet place, away from the sound of vehicles and the like. You've got a nice place there. And those bikes, just the right thing to use especially now that gas prices has skyrocketed. Don't u think so?

Thank you for your nice comment in my blog. Have a nice day!

Hey! Welcome in Holland :-)

Zuid-Holland doesn't translate to South Netherlands; it translates to South-Holland.

North-Holland and South-Holland are the 'original' Holland (with some other provinces that are currently named differently), but places like Friesland or Limburg and Brabant are not.

We call The Netherlands Holland, but technically speaking Holland excludes a lot of The Netherlands :-)

Hope the weather gets better again for you to go to the beach! Enjoy your stay.

@ Lynn,
Yes, i like the tranquility.. not so much cars around, no smoke then.. not zero but not also heavy in numbers (the vehicles).

@Bas,
I stand corrected. Thank you for the educational shareout of idea. Yes, I have never been to Scheveningen yet... i see in the news that it is always full.. it is so near here (just one tram ride), right?
