Whatta Tolerant Government!
I am not really aware if being someone or being Filipino outside the Philippines demands a tax from remittances... But what I know is, as long as there are bucks coming inside the Philippines from outside countries, the better it is. What I am trying to say here is, the Philippine government is just too happy to send its inhabitants out! Too bad...
The number of abroad workers in a Filipino family is growing. They are the source of dollar for the Philippines. Why cannot ever the Philippines stand on its own? Why does it need to rely to something all the time? Actually, it is just a magnification of the reality on the households of Filipino community where one makes "sweat and blood" working yet, she or he has at least five mouths to feed in the family - not necessarily the children but the parents and siblings.
Nothing. Just a thought and a continuation of my observation when I visited the website of the Philippine embassy from where I am. In the website, it encourages every Filipino, "both documented and undocumented" to register in the embassy. What does it mean? The embassy acknowledges that there are a lot of illegal Filipino aliens (undocumented) in the area/country where I am now. Is it something bad? Well, it simply shows a lack of discipline and stuffs... So, what can you expect in a country that is so tolerant, when it is supposed to discipline its populace but does nothing?
Think about it, Pinoy!
