New Work, New Transportation: Cycling to Work!

I have a new job. Previous job's contract has ended on the 8th of May. My new job started on the 11th which makes no time in between, However, there are changes: The city where my old job was in the Hague, and now am in Gelderland. It's more than a hundred kilometers away apart and so I needed to relocate. The relocation was smooth and I am so glad to have found a house very near the work place.
Thus, I bought a small bike and started doing what the majority of the population in this country do: cycle. Here, since it is the lowlands, or Holland, or the Netherlands. I am so glad with this change: It's healthy, not suceptible to traffic jams, only five minutes cycling time and I pass by along the big canal where I always see ships passing by.
To better capture how it is to go to work, I'll be taking a few photos these days and add here. It's just fun to go cycling to work or to the grocery store: no expense and healthy. I love it!

2 additional ideas:
Congratz on the new job, and the bicycle! I'd love to be able to cycle to my job, but the road between there and here has just too much traffic on it for it to be safe. :( Not to mention these darn people who don't use their turn signals!
hey dear Roj!!!
now i can say that u are almost 90%integrated in NL...biking is great, for u and environment and i love it too...after work it has the great effect of freeing your mind and brings u back in peace with nature even within some seconds....
welcome to the expat-bikers club!
hugs!
