Just Watched Sin City; It's Very Harsh, Violent and Strong

I watched Sin City this evening and I did not expect it to be that violent and gross and harsh. Indeed for the style it's worth seeing but there are scenes that are really difficult to stomach. Although the effect to humans for the violences and for harshness is adjusted by the style used, making it monochromatic in nature but still, it is very difficult to view if one is not into violent and morbid scenes.

Characters have their own monochromes andit actually looks interesting and when there are exciting scenes, the characters turns into a 1 dimensional white figure. Very unique presentation and style.

sin city, violent film

If you would like to see a film where it looks like a moving comics in monochromatic effect, then this is the film for you....BUT..yes, a big but...make sure also that you are ready to view the following scenes if you would like to see Sin City:

a. mutilation of body parts of humans;
b. human body parts being eaten by animal (wolf/dog)
c. hanging human heads where the body or parts of it was eaten by another human or animal
d. killing aperson by yanking his prostate gland....eeeeeiwww.... (Oh men! ... your balls pulledout of your body)
e. and alot more... just be prepared.

Don't watch during meal time! See the teaser trailer below, it looks very artistic and interesting and doesn't show very strong scenes ...but watchout of the things I listed up.

Sin City is the title for a series of neo-noir comics by Frank Miller. The first story originally appeared in "Dark Horse Presents Fifth Anniversary Special" (April, 1991), and continued in Dark Horse Presents #51–62 from May 1991 to June 1992, under the title of Sin City, serialized in thirteen parts. Several other stories of variable lengths have followed. All stories take place in Basin City, with frequent recurring characters and intertwining stories.

A movie adaptation of Sin City, co-directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller with "special guest director" Quentin Tarantino, was released on April 1, 2005. The Sin City volumes were reprinted with new covers and in a reduced size to coincide with the motion picture's theatrical release. A planned sequel to the 2005 hit has been moved around the release schedule for years, with current plans having pre-production start in 2010.- Source: Wikipedia
